The Children’s Center is making a difference in the lives of children with special needs. How? By focusing on the child in their most formative years, ages six months to five years old. That age range is served by Children’s Center for center-based programming, which allows the child to develop properly during critical years.
By the time a child is six-years-old, 95% of their neurotransmitter pathways are developed. These pathways are responsible for movement, speech, and human connection, ultimately determining a person’s ability to relate to and function in the world. This is true for kids with special needs just as much as it is true for any child.
The Children’s Center’s $5 million “Champion in Every Child” capital campaign is focused on expanding the Center in service to children with special needs. At any given time, there are more than 100 children on our waiting list for early intervention services that will literally change their lives. You can help brighten futures by giving today!
